Yeast Infection Natural Remedies

Still searching for some yeast infection natural remedies? There certainly are plenty of remedies available out there, making the right choice that much more difficult. Some remedies work great, some not so hot, while others actually make your problem worse! With that said, let’s review a few of the methods you may not have heard of that will work safely and naturally.

Multibionta

Multibionta is a supplement that gets healthy bacteria back into your digestive tract and bowels. Why would you want to take this for a yeast infection? The answer to this is that your yeast infection may not have begun in the vagina. The yeast that causes yeast infections is found in many parts of the body beside the vagina. This includes the mouth, skin, throat, bowels, and digestive tract. It’s possible for the infection to have originated in one of these areas and spread to vagina. Or, conversely, a yeast infection that started in the vagina could have spread throughout the body. This is known as a systemic yeast infection and not something you want, believe me. This supplement helps your body fight off the yeast hell bent on invading all areas of your body.

Goat’s Milk Yogurt

This can be a little hard to find, but if you can, it’s one of the better yeast infection natural remedies. This also helps in getting the good bacteria back in your system to fight the Candida yeast. One way you can use this is by filling a spray bottle with the milk and spraying the affected areas periodically for about an hour.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This method involves dipping a cotton ball in the vinegar and dabbing the affected areas. Another thing you can do in addition to this is peeling a clove of garlic and then squeezing the oils on another cotton ball. By rubbing this on the affected areas you should experience relief from the itching. Stay on this program for about a week or two and your symptoms should have subsided.

Now, these yeast infection natural remedies work pretty well at putting an end to your yeast infection symptoms, but there will still be yeast spores in your system to deal with even after the infection is gone. They just go into a dormant phase. At any point in the future, these spores can pop up again and grow out of control - causing yet another yeast infection. So, if you want to kill off these spores, you’ll need to get yourself a more powerful treatment method.

Treatment of a Yeast Infection

February 14th, 2009 by admin

For a woman, a yeast infection can be one of the most irritating and uncomfortable experiences ever and it makes sense to have a look at the treatment of yeast infection that also works as preventative measures. It is not commonly known that they have a habit of coming back when you least expect them so why not use treatments that can prevent them from occurring again as well as getting rid of it?

For the treatment of yeast infection, otherwise called Thrush, there are both home remedies as well as over the counter remedies that you can rely on. The over the counter versions make the perfect treatments for thrush or yeast infections on a short term basis but they have a habit of coming back so it makes sense to try preventative measures as well. These are often present in the home made treatments that you can come up with and one of the best things is to drink plenty of water. Not only will this help to rehydrate the body but also work to flush out the bacteria and fungus that cause the yeast infections and therefore works well as both a cure and a preventative measure.

Other things that you can use that you will find in your home that can be used both to prevent the yeast infection as well as cure it is garlic which can be taken in tablet supplement form or as whole cloves inserted into the vagina after it has been wrapped in gauze. Plain and natural yogurt is another thing that can be consumed orally as well as inserted into the vagina to fight the fungus that causes a yeast infection and all of these things can work out to be much cheaper than over the counter treatment of yeast infection.

What Are the Causes of Yeast Infection in Children?

February 14th, 2009 by admin

Yeast infections are caused by Candida, fungus species. Usually, these infections will heal, but people with weakened immune systems, and babies are more likely to suffer from recurring infections.

There are a number of causes which lead to yeast infections:

  • One is increased use of antibiotics. This causes an imbalance of microbes in the body, which may result in Candida overgrowth.
  • Another cause of yeast infection is related to children’s diet and nutrition. Many foods, and even formulas, contain a high amount of sugar. Sugary foods increase Candida growth, and the “sweet” imbalance may lead to infection.
  • Yeast infections are also common in newborns. Yeast are naturally present in the vagina, therefore at birth, the infant comes in contact with it and may be infected.
  • Furthermore, Candida grows in moist skin areas. Baby’s diaper rash may be worsened if infected.
  • Also, let’s not forget the fact that little (and big…) kids love being and playing in water. Many times, they will stay in their wet bathing suits, even after coming out of the water. As mentioned, yeast “love” moist areas, therefore, a wet bathing suit on wet skin will be “perfect”…
  • Children who suck on their thumb may also develop yeast infection on the skin around fingernail.

A common yeast infection is thrush, which is oral. It is seen as white, thick patches lying on a red base inside the mouth. But as mentioned, other body parts may be infected as well.

In healthy children and adults, the infection can be diagnosed with a simple exam of mouth or skin.

Oral thrush needs medication prescribed by a doctor. Diaper rashes or other skin yeast infections do not require prescriptions by doctors. Of course, if these infections worsen, a doctor should be consulted.
